Ben Greene 4th post

So I've been meaning to give this one a go for a while now. Finally made some time for it. I started by going for broad strokes and color shapes but don't feel that I accomplished much of what I intended. So, that's frustrating.

PS. That palm tree suuuucks!

Week 8

Hi guys.

I attempted this precisely because I knew it would turn out strangely. I really don't have a clear cut way to draw complicated building textures that doesn't involve sourcing from photos, so this was definitely a learning experience.

I'd be interested in seeing how anyone else tackles this, if they feel up to it!

Mike Bear: Week 5

I thought maybe it would be fun to experiment with adding some story to the landscapes.

When doing studies from photos I never know whether I should make it as accurate to the photo as possible or take some liberties and try capturing the essence of the scene. I guess I like the idea of just trying to get the feel of it, maybe finding a surprising method to paint along the way.
