Hi guys.

I attempted this precisely because I knew it would turn out strangely. I really don't have a clear cut way to draw complicated building textures that doesn't involve sourcing from photos, so this was definitely a learning experience.

I'd be interested in seeing how anyone else tackles this, if they feel up to it!

  1. Hey, this came out nice. I'm impressed you took the time to tackle this one. I think that if you add some distortion effects to the reflection in the water and maybe fade the reflection a little (even though in the photo it's not that faded looking) you might get some nice results. Never-the-less, great job!

  3. Yeah this one definitely had some bizarre lighting and depth to tackle. There's even a strange halo around the objects. Sometimes those are the ones you can learn the most from though. I may give this one a shot and let you know how I attempt it.

  4. I could be wrong but I think the halo on this image might actually be from the photographer doing something to it in Photoshop. I remember a style theme through-out some of their other images that did the same thing.
